Let's Go Exploring!

Your Guides: Meet The Team

Mike

An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, Captain Mike has 25 years of boating experience on the inland and coastal waters of the United States. He has been navigating in the Gulf of Alaska for over 12 years. Never one to follow the crowd, you can expect to see an Alaska that few others experience. Your adventure is limited only by time and Mother Nature. In Alaska she makes the rules, and she is only one Captain Mike listens to more than his wife Teresa.

Teresa

Aka "The Brains Of The Operation"

A wife, mom of three, grandma of three and and the babysitter of Captain Mike.  In March of 2023 she retired early from her career after 27 years of service to pursue the adventure in Alaska full time.  Besides babysitting Mike her hobbies include crafting, photography, (most of the pictures and the video on this site can be credited to her) and a passionate explorer. The word most people use to describe Teresa is "kind". But don't mistake her kindness for weakness. Her desire to "push the boundaries" is what brought this team to Alaska. From close up bear encounters to reeling in barn door halibut and keeping Captain Mike in line, she is tough. Because of her busy schedule she is not able to be on every excursion, but if you are lucky enough to have her along, you can leave your camera behind.  And you will see why she really is the "brains of the operation". And also why Captain Mike is the luckiest man on earth.

A Few Kind Words From Our Friends

“What an amazing experience!! Everything we dreamed it would be and more. Put this off for far too long. We will be back soon."

"In the interest of full disclosure, we are long time friends of Mike and Teresa. They have been telling us about Seward and the Gulf of Alaska for years. We had been on cruise ships that traveled Alaska before, but had never experienced it like this! Everything was so close and real. No more cruises for us! The wife was not too interested in the fishing, but at the first sight of a whale she was out of the cabin and on the back deck for good. She even reeled in a medium sized halibut. Captain Mike (as he made me call him) seemed very knowledgeable about the wildlife and surrounding area. Especially the World War II history of this area. Who knew he was so smart? As much as it pains me to say it... he was right. This is how to do Alaska! Thanks Mike and Teresa!

We came for the fishing. But WOW, we got so much more. Whales 100 feet from the boat, eagles everywhere, sea lions and of coarse fish... lots of fish! All in one day! DO THIS! It is so worth. Beautiful boat, great captain. Already booked again.
